GUARDIANSHIPS AND ALTERNATIVES
Guardianships and Other Alternatives
At the heart of every adoption matter is love and care for a child. Sometimes, the parent is not willing or ready to commit to a permanent change. We also handle several areas of law surrounding custody, guardianships, and deprivation actions. Custody actions are between two parents, where a guardianship is typically a family member or close friend who is stepping in to take care of children whose parents are having trouble taking care of them. Deprivation actions are for situations where the child is in immediate danger or a situation of neglect.
